While working at EKR, Faith Counts came to us to create a new compelling video that would explain what they were all about. The video was to be created completely with motion graphics. Kolby Larsen did the storyboards and Illustrations. My role in the project was to animate everything. I primarily used Adobe After Effects and Cinema 4D to create the animations.
Some of the elements had to be created in a 3D space and rendered in 2D in order to make the process of creating the 3D animations more simple. The colors had to be animated as luminescent materials with an alpha transparency that was also animated.
To animate numbers increasing, I had to use a script that would link the source of the text to a slider controller. But that would link the numbers together as they show up. I had to add additional scripts that would convert the number to a whole number without any decimals.
